Curly Hair Salon
Cuts, styling, and care built around your natural texture — not against it.
Your Curls Deserve a Specialist
Not every stylist understands curly hair — and if you have curls, you already know that. A bad cut on straight hair grows out in a few weeks. A bad cut on curly hair can take months to recover from. That's why it matters who sits behind the chair.
At Nexx Faze Salon in Bluffton, SC, our curly hair stylists are trained in dry-cutting techniques, Ouidad methodology, and texture-specific care for every curl pattern from loose waves to tight coils. We don't treat curly hair as an afterthought — it's one of our specialties.

Why Ouidad?
Ouidad is the most respected name in curly hair care — and for good reason. The technique was developed specifically for curls, treating each one as an individual strand with its own behavior, weight, and spring pattern.
Traditional haircuts stretch wet hair straight and cut it evenly. When it dries and curls back up, the shape is uneven and the volume is unpredictable. Ouidad flips that approach: your hair is cut dry, curl by curl, so what you see in the chair is what you get at home.
Our trained stylists use Ouidad principles to create cuts that hold their shape between appointments, reduce frizz, and make your morning routine easier. Whether your curls are 2B waves or 4C coils, the method adapts to you.

Curly Hair FAQ
What is an Ouidad curl cut?
An Ouidad curl cut is a specialized technique where each curl is cut individually while dry, following the natural curl pattern. This creates a shape that works with your texture instead of fighting it — no surprises when your hair dries.
Do I need to come in with my hair curly?
Yes — for curly hair cuts, we ask that you come in with your natural curl pattern. Skip the flat iron or blowout before your appointment so your stylist can see how your curls fall and cut accordingly.
How often should I get a curly hair cut?
Most curly-haired clients do well with a cut every 8 to 12 weeks. Your stylist will recommend a schedule based on your hair length, texture, and goals.
What curl types do you work with?
All of them — from loose waves (2A) to tight coils (4C). Our stylists are trained in techniques for every curl pattern and density.
Do you offer consultations for curly hair?
Yes. If you're new to Nexx Faze or transitioning to natural curls, book a complimentary consultation. We'll talk through your curl goals, assess your hair health, and recommend the right services.
What's the difference between a curly cut and a regular cut?
A regular cut is usually done on wet, stretched hair. A curly cut is done dry, curl by curl, so the stylist can see the actual shape and spring of each curl. The result is a cut that looks intentional, not like your curls were an afterthought.
